My name is Gavin Smith and I have been a neuro linguistic programming (NLP) master practitioner and hypnotherapist for the past 10 years. I study anything and everything to help my clients with their internal issues and to put them on the right path to achieve their mental goals.

I am over 50 and have a lot of life experience to go with it, dark times and happy times as we all probably have had. For me using NLP has shown me that there is an option or alterative then to just accept our fate.

It is our own understand that is keeping us in a place of discomfort and although physically things might not be great either, until we accept it ourselves that things internally must change then those issues will continue to limit our lives externally.

NLP and hypnosis has taken me on a wonderful journey of self-discovery and learning and at times has shown me that all knowledge and self-help studies aren’t helpful, but are limited by the opinion of others.

I suppose you could also say that about these online sessions of hypnosis, but because you only have to listen, you will be able to make your own judgement on where you are and where you want to be.

About the Sessions

To perform at your very best you want to feel both mentally and physically 100% ready to take on the task at hand.

Mental skills and achievements training needs to come from more than just luck or waiting for it to pass, it requires a new way of thinking.

Dealing with doubts or having personal matters while performing everyday tasks in a professional capacity can be the difference between you performing better than your competitors.

It is the professional that is prepared both mentally and physically that makes their career happen.

The Science

There are millions of books, teachers, films that promote self-help but this too can be a jungle to get through the right material to suit you. Because even some of those teachings are not in tune with your thinking conscious mind.

The science is still ongoing but the relatively new science of quantum physics along with biocentrism and others have discovered that subatomic particles actually interact with consciousness at some level. However, science is still a long way of understanding this connection.

Albert Einstein said that “everything is energy” the human body energy field plays a very important role in our health. Everything is energy, everything in our existence is connected to a field of electromagnetic vibrational frequencies and everything made of atoms.

Atoms are always in the process of emitting and receive energy which operates at specific frequency, even our emotions and thoughts have their own electromagnetic fields, as do viruses and bacteria.

According to Bruce Tainio (researcher and founder of Tainio technology) said that the healthy human body resonates at a frequency of 62-78 MHz, and diseases starts when the frequency drops to 58 MHz. When the frequency drops because of physiological or emotional or environmental factors, the immune system becomes weak, so viruses and bacteria find it easier to do their work.

So along with the right kind of relaxing music and hypnotic language patterns, a client can be guided using neuro linguistic programming to healthier frequencies, should they be willing to participate. Each type of brainwave controls a variety of states of consciousness ranging from sleep to active thinking. While all brain waves work simultaneously, one brainwave can be more predominant and active than the others. The dominant brainwave will determine your current state of mind.

Our states of mind

Our everyday state of mind might be a Beta brainwave, which  dominates our normal waking state of consciousness, when attention is directed towards our everyday cognitive tasks and to help us navigate the outside world.

Beta is a ‘fast’ activity, present when we are alert, attentive, engaged in problem solving, judgment, decision making or focused mental activity. It is in a state of high engagement or actively figuring something out integrating new experiences, high anxiety, or excitement.

But a continual high frequency processing is not a very efficient way to run the brain, as it takes a tremendous amount of energy. Sometimes resulting in mental issues.

Alpha state of mind on the other hand is a relaxed awaken state, where you could be watching T.V, reading a book or listening to music. This is often place where you will use your mind to pleasantly think of things that please you, and can be a good place to be to create future images or reflect in time.

It is also the relaxed aware state that you might be in while listening to any of the mental coaching and achieve sessions.

Or your mind could find that you go into a Theta brainwaves state, which is more often associated with sleep but is also dominant in deep meditation.

Theta is our gateway to learning, memory, and intuition. In theta, our senses are withdrawn from the external world and focused on signals originating from within. It is that twilight state which we normally only experience fleetingly as we wake or drift off to sleep. In theta we are in a dream, vivid imagery, intuition, and information state beyond our normal conscious awareness. It is where we hold our past, our future expectations, our fears, troubled history, and nightmares. This is where change can take place.
